Located in front of Caesars Palace, the restaurant seats more than 300 guests including two chef’s tables, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the famous Las Vegas Strip, red and blue design details in the show kitchen, a private dining room and a contemporary bar serving the latest trends in mixology. The Red and Blue kitchens serve up modern lunch and dinner menus including Hell’s Kitchen signature dishes made with the highest quality ingredients.

This just in! Our very own Jodi Harris, CEO of FUN with Sight and Sound will be talking to us about Social Media and how to Market our Business. As trends sway from Instagram to Facebook to Twitter etc., we need to be in the KNOW! Bring your smart phones and Jodi will do live demonstrations to help set you up for success!

The 2018 NACE Experience conference will be held at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA from July 22-25, 2018. We are pleased to announce that elections for the 2019 Board of Directors will be taking place to elect the new Board of Directors and Executive Board in October 2018.  Interested candidates are encouraged to speak with the current board to learn more about opportunities to

All positions on the current Board of Directors will be available for nomination.  Eligibility for positions as well as job descriptions may be found on the election website.  Members may be nominated by other members or themselves.

NACE Legacy

CELEBRATING OUR MEMBERS

NACE started with humble beginnings in 1958 in New York City as the Banquet Managers Guild.  Over the years, the organization has grown across the country and with the industry to become "One Industry, One Association".  

From its local beginnings in New York City, NACE has grown to encompass more than 4,000 members in more than 40 chapters in North America. NACE continues to raise the standard of professionalism in the industry through education, certification, standards, ethics and professional recognition programs. Community Service

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

The Las Vegas NACE Chapter embraces the Spirit of NACE in our commitment to our local community in believes in supporting our community through outreach to local organizations.  Each month, our Community Service Committee organizes to support a variety of local charities including Candlelighters, Street Teens, and Shade Tree.  Money raised at meetings goes to a variety of items to support these charities, from bottled water to gift cards.  If you are interested in assisting with any of their efforts, please contact Kay Kolbo for more information.

For 2018, the Board of Directors for NACE has also updated our fundraising for community service by donating 25% of the monthly raffle proceeds to the Community Service Committee to help fund our ongoing efforts to support the local community.


STREET TEENS

Each month, members of the Las Vegas Chapter donate hot meals and desserts for the monthly dinner for Street Teens and will continue to donate throughout the year.

Chapter News

The NACE Las Vegas Chapter newsletter offers you the opportunity to link with other Catering and Event Professionals.  Our newsletter is published quarterly and accepts submissions for articles, calendar of events, employment opportunities, community service, business updates, and other NACE success stories.

Articles:  To submit an article or other information for inclusion for our next newsletter please submit your information by the 4th day of the month.  The Calendar of Events and Employment Opportunities will be updated weekly as we receive information.  What are you waiting for?  Be in the NEWS! 

Calendar of Events:  Share your upcoming events such as open houses, grand openings, or showcases to invite other NACE members to participate or attend.  We will update this regularly even after the newsletter is issued so check back regularly to see what is new!

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting new corporate/association catering, civic, charitable, wedding, bar/bat mitzvahs, holiday parties, family reunion accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. The Catering Manager participates in arranging and coordinating all meeting details to include food and beverage functions, wedding ceremonies, audio visual needs, group transportation, billing instructions and other special requirements of the customer. He/she may also coordinate and be on site for the set-up throughout the events booked, create bookings and posting of the catering.

· Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.

· Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance

· Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other catering sales related meetings as required

· Attend community/social events and industry meetings

· Distribute Banquet Event Orders and Catering resumes to all appropriate hotel departments to facilitate efficient purchasing, planning, and employee scheduling

· Provides 30/60/90 forecasts, provides Actuals vs. Forecast at end of month with comments.

· Conduct property tours and participate in trade shows, industry and community events to promote facilities and services

· Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships

· Negotiate services and prices to maximize revenue and profitability

· Assist the Director in the management of the department, as needed

· Conduct catering and external sales presentations to prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate and secure local catering business.

 Job Requirements:

· Previous experience in a luxury/4-diamod hotel or resort preferred and a minimum of 2-3 years with catering sales and food and beverage knowledge.

· Candidate should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment

· Must be a self-starter, flexible, creative, organized and results driven.

· Must be able to meet the demands of clients' events to include presence at numerous food and beverage functions throughout the day and evenings

· Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

· Knowledge of local market

· Ideally, experience will include a proficiency in industry software systems such as Galaxy, Delphi and Microsoft Office. Experience with ISAC is a plus.
